Michelle Obama’s speech at the Democratic National Convention last
month was so great, I watched it a half dozen times.
What a treasure she is. She speaks the truth from the heart and
connects with people just because of who she is. Well, it helps that she has a
high profile, but she has earned it.
I got a laugh out of Barak starting his address by saying that he
was the only one dumb enough to come out after Michelle. Of course, he then
made a fine speech, too.
But Michelle Obama is truly special. She’d have to be to rock the
house as she did and make it seem effortless. And remember, she also had to
talk about how her mother recently passed away. Could you manage giving a momentous speech to the nation just
weeks after that loss? It takes great strength of character, and Michelle Obama
has that in abundance.
